In a business environment, where each cost article reduces the profitability of companies, the tradition of optimizing expenses has been adopted. This usually gives up to 20% saving funds. Often, uniforms for personnel are included in the list of such abbreviations – managers either completely stop providing employees with special clothing, or minimize it, or they offer specialists to acquire a working form at their own expense. This situation is often found among junior medical staff, among construction and repair teams.
STO is abandoning workwear, and car rental in Moscow often does not even provide a form for masters. It is worth stipulating right away that such a position of leadership is erroneous, which there are a number of objective explanations.
First of all, any form is a sign of an employee’s belonging to a certain field of activity: white robes are familiar to doctors and researchers, camouflage – for military, tarpaulin overalls – for workers, etc. D. We are considering commercial enterprises, therefore, uniform for personnel in such companies is also the identification of an employee of a particular company. Applying the enterprise’s logos, creating it in proprietary style and color scheme allows you to achieve four very important goals:
– creating a sense of personal responsibility and a sense of corporate affiliation with the staff;
– increasing the level of employment involvement and loyalty to the business of the enterprise;
– the creation of a third -party observer of the impression of responsibility of the company itself, both to employees and to customers;
– Direct advertising of the company.
In addition to psychological aspects, there are also practical and physiological reasons for the introduction of workwear at the enterprise. Firstly, this is the security of the employee. For people whose work is related to physical exertion, any inappropriate detail on clothes can be fatal. Pocket, label, metal patch can catch on the spinning elements or cause another emergency. Therefore, in order to ensure the safety of production, all the clothes of employees must meet a single standard. It’s easier to provide this if you introduce a uniform.
Secondly, clothing must comply with working conditions and provide physiological comfort: synthetics, tight things, fire-all this can cause the employee’s hospital leave, which no longer fits into the cost optimization strategy.
