We plunge a little in history. Skoda has long produced Rapid cars – back in the distant 40s of the last century. And only last year the company decided to revive the model by releasing Rapid for the Indian market, but it became a twin folkvalen Polo.
The new car is based on the PQ25 platform, which is also widely used by Audi and Seat. Skoda Rapid is a car that is produced instead of 1st generation octavia (it is no longer released).
Skoda Rapid salon is quite comfortable; the driver is pleased to watch the road, and nothing prevents him from. The instrument panel has practically nothing superfluous, in the main functions you can quickly understand. There is a lot of place from behind, which is noticeable even when landing. Even a person in 195 centimeters will not feel any discomfort.
For Skoda Rapid, the developers provided six at once (!) engine options: two diesel and four gasoline. Serious transmission – seven -speed “robot” and six -speed mechanics. For Skoda Rapid with average capabilities, a five -stage manual box is included. As engineers say, gasoline engines will “eat” 6 liters of fuel per hundred, and even less diesel – 5.5 liter.
On the road Skoda Rapid holds exactly. When turning the steering wheel, no complications arise, everything is predictable. The brakes work instantly – it is clear that they collected carefully, without haste. And for our roads, Skoda Rapid showed himself at the highest level, since the holes were almost not felt.
They plan to present the novelty already in September, but so far no sets or prices for the car are known.
