In order to cover the “bare” floors in the rooms quite often use various types of linoleum.
Since the material is very inexpensive, and the demand is high, you can find hundreds of manufacturers on the market that create thousands of linoleum models that differ in types and properties. In this case, you need to know how to lay linoleum.
For example, German manufacturers have an assortment of 250 positions and with each linoleum has several colors. Every year, the Germans add several new models that differ not only in coloring, but also in useful qualities. Unfortunately, they still have not been able to create a type of linoleum that endured both cold and sunlight equally well. In addition, many types of linoleum have a constant specific smell. Let’s look at how this floor covering is.
According to the binder material, linoleum is divided into:
• Natural
• PVC or polyvinyl chloride
• glyftal or alkidal
• nitro -cellulose
• rubber or reward
Natural linoleum, as stated in its name, consists mainly of natural and safe elements. As a basis, it can have non -woven material, natural fabric, or at all without a substrate.
PVC linoleum or polyvinyl chloride has a “foundation” from various forms of the foundations: it can be a foamed, fabric, heat -insulating and soundproof non -woven base or at all PVC – linoleum is made without a base, one or multi -layer. There are not so many disadvantages of PVC – linoleum, but they are significant – linoliu “sits” with time with a temperature of up to two percent, and also has a specific smell.
Alcidal linoleum has a better basis than polyvinyl chloride linoleum, as it is naturally tissue. This “foundation” has excellent sound – and thermal insulation properties, but during operation it narrows in length and increases its width due to this process.
Linoleum made of nitro -cellulose – very thin and elastic linoleum. It is made only by a single -layer look and has excellent waterproofing qualities. Unfortunately, this type of linoleum is easily ignited.
Relin or rubber linoleum consists of two layers. The first layer is a substrate of melted crushed rubber, and the second, front layer is a mixture of artificial rubber, pigments and fillers. Relin has high waterproofing qualities and high elasticity.
