Wall decoration with wallpaper is one of the most ancient and traditional methods of decor, and besides, over the years of use, has not lost its relevance.
To date, progress is moving faster and in recent years new types of materials have been created for the new manufacture of high -quality wallpaper. In addition to the fact that the wallpaper began to have unique properties, such as wear resistance, moisture resistance, they began to influence the interior of the room as a whole. Using these coatings, you can both darken and lighten the room, as well as visually increased or vice versa, narrow the room too much.
Before installing the wallpaper, it is better to determine the pattern, or rather with its direction and cut the wallpaper into equal stripes. The drawing will be of great importance, and its inconsistencies annoy the guests and residents of the house.
First you need to dismantle old wallpapers, and then align it with plaster or putting the wall of the house. By the way, before aligning the walls, we recommend removing dirt, streams, and stains from the walls mechanically and degrease with an antiseptic. After it dries, we spread the walls with glue and give it time to absorb, so that the wallpaper is easier to lie down and hold on tightly by the coating.
If you want to glue wallpaper on the walls that were previously whitewashed, then before the installation process you need to remove the old whitewash. To do this, moisturize the walls with cold water, and after several minutes, remove the whitewater with a spatula. After removing the whitewashing, we put up the “bare” concrete or brick walls, align and smear with glue. Thus, we will increase the strength of the future coating on the wall.
In order to dilute the glue for wallpaper, it is necessary to act according to the rules specified on the package. In principle, they are similar to each other, therefore, the main operations consist of the fact that it is necessary to pour cold water into the container, add the required amount of glue and mix the entire composition to a monophonic consistency.
For priming walls, the consistency of glue should resemble fat kefir by density, and for pasting wallpaper the glue should be as thick as sour cream. For gluing, glue with a consistency is needed, more than that of the glue of the initial installation of wallpaper.
