Terrace is perhaps one of the most necessary parts of the manor house. At its core, this is an intermediate link between the site and the internal rooms. The terrace can be a completely open element of the house (with a fence like balcony – balustrade – or without it), as well as a partially or completely blocked roof. Instead of a roof, you can build a light structure in the form of a lattice from thin boards or bars, the so -called pergola, and drink it with creeping and curly plants. In the climatic conditions of the Western Urals, open terraces did not receive widespread widespread. Instead, verandas arrange – light closed rooms, usually with a large glazing area. The verandas protect against oblique rains and cold winds, and in the presence of curtains or curtains and from prying eyes. In good weather, the veranda becomes a dining room and a place of rest in the shade. Convenient when the windows on the verande can open. Since modern norms do not recommend erecting terraces and verandas with an area of ​​more than 15-20 m2, these rooms should not be overloaded with furniture.
