Theoretically possible house with one big room is possible. But practically rooms are always done a few – in such housing it is much more convenient. After all, each of the rooms has its own purpose.
In addition, the rooms allow each tenant to retire in their piece of space for a while. So you can’t do without partitions in the house.
Partitions are placed from brick, blocks, slabs – from the same materials as the external walls. Another option is to install frame walls.
Their design is formed by steel profiles or wooden racks, which are usually sheathed with a plasterboard or plaster plate, and inside is filled with a layer of mineral wool.
What are the features of the frame walls?
They can only be mounted after the “box” of the house is erected. The thickness of the walls can vary widely – from seven and a half to fifteen centimeters. Such partitions weigh ten times less brick and you can put them anywhere in the floor. They have good sound insulation. It is also convenient that you can mount pieces on your own.
True, the frame walls are erected longer than brick or block. But they are immediately ready for decoration – for painting, pasting with wallpaper. Another minus of the frame walls – it is impossible to hang items weighing more than sixty kilograms. But when necessary, the wall is amplified by special profiles.
