Mercedes-Benz will show the concept car ENER-G-FORCE at the end of this month at the Los Angeles car dealership.
This is an impressive seven -seater car that will be one of the most anticipated among German new products.
Representatives of Mercedes-Benz will not pay much attention to the specifics of this car, but from reliable sources it is known that Ener-G-Force will be the main competitor among Land Rover SUVs in the future. These SUVs will be based on existing transmissions and platforms currently.
Interestingly, this concept is the long-awaited replacement of the G-class, which has been in production since 1979.
“Ener-g-phorce will take up many G-class genes. It can also be the beginning to change the design of all subsequent SUV Mercedes-Benz, ”said Gorden Wagener, design director of Mercedes.
Designed in the advanced designer studio in Karlsbad, California, Ener-G-Force looks like a ruler of Mercedes SUVs in the future. In addition, this is known that three options for the new G -class will be available – empty, medium and luxurious. This is aimed at ensuring a wider customer round.
The concept that will be shown on the auto exhibition in Los Angeles will receive a wide radiator grille with a large Mercedes emblem in the center. In addition, in the front of the car, you can observe LED headlights whose thin lines and horizontal design are combined with the shape of the wing and a pre -bumper.
Indicators are installed on the front wings to ensure the visibility of the location of the vehicle in the conditions of off -road. There are also holes on them that open at certain points for additional engine cooling.
About which wheels will be installed on the new model is not yet described, but as can be seen from the photographs, they will be quite large. The tires will most likely be offered different – both for a daily ride around the city and the highway, and for off -road. In the practice of Mercedes, it was already that they used Nokian tires for their SUVs. Whose firms tires will be on this car, so far it is also unknown.
But the main feature of this concept is (and this is still applicable only to the car shown on the auto exhibition) that this ENER-G-FORCE will have a hydrogen electric motor. The bottom line is that the water conducted through the so -called hydraulic converter provides the supply of electricity, which, in addition to traction, is also stored in batteries, which, among other things, can also be recharged from solar batteries installed on the roof. On energy alone, this concept will be able to drive up to 800 km.
So, a new product called “View Earth” is connected as a Mercedes on this Mercedes. This system uses the camera to detect and recognize the surrounding landscape and surface relief to change the height of the suspension and the parameters of the anti -wings system (now it will not be disconnected when it is not necessary).
