Restoring enameled bathroom coating is an execution of even a teenager. There is nothing complicated.
The main thing is to act correctly in accordance with the instructions and observe TB for work with enamel.
The most important thing that needs to be done before restoring the enamel in the bathroom is partially ripping off the old enamel and completely remove the layers of rust. For this, it is best to use slightly active oxalic acid. Mix with water until the “gruel” is formed, and after that the resulting composition is applied to the places of rust and peeling enamel. After half an hour, wash off the solution and wipe the remaining rust with sandpaper and wash off the dirt with water. We clean the surface with an abrasive stone so that there are no slightest bumps. After completing the work with rust, rinse the entire surface of the bathroom and let it dry.
The next stage is soil application. Best of all kinds of aerosol primers. We apply a layer of soil on a dry surface of the bathroom and let it dry. The soil will close all chips in the bathroom and create a flat surface. This is an ideal “bridgehead” for applying multi -layer enamel.
And now – finish. We apply enameling. The enamel manufacturer is not particularly important – imported or domestic is practically no different from each other, but we still recommend asking the consultant. It is best to take a thick nitroemal, since the enamel in the aerosol contains a large amount of solvent, which is adverse. Before applying an enameled coating, we grout the surface of the bath with tampons of fabric without pile, so that the bathroom is absolutely dry and without dirt.
We also recommend “dry” the air with a reflector, since the bathroom is constantly wet and this negatively affect how enamel will fall. Each layer of enamel must dry for at least 20 minutes. The finish layer can be mixed with a solvent and thus a glossy surface of the bathroom appears. The enamel dries within a day, and after that we recommend that the surface is polished with a special paste applied to a flannel rag.
