Fashion for upholstery materials is almost as variable as any other. Color American flocks left the fastest. The German Pen-Velur, who was very popular about two or three years ago, gave up his positions. It seemed irrevocably “went into circulation” the tapestries, but rumors about the tapestry of the death were exaggerated (although not much!). According to “soft furniturers”, jacquards and scotchgs gradually depart.
Today, at the top of the sheat-parade, Shenilla, especially with Teflon coating, as well as booklated flocks and “jaguar” related to the category of flocks with a “wet” seal. Floks with a “dry” seal are more brilliant and tough. Thus, Shenill is another tribute to fashion, although specialists say only good things about the fabric itself. Shenill belongs to a group of fabric with pile coating, characterized by a soft vulture. Polish Shenill has greater strength for abrasion, light, water and washing.
In general, quality fabric. In composition, this is either 100% acrylic, or acrylic with cotton, or a mixture of acrylic with polyester or polypropylene. The predominance of a synthetic thread in the fabric today is not a negative property of the canvas. Thanks to modern technologies, the current synthetics “breathes” and does not “sweat” (not so long ago imported furniture fabrics, the same phlock, did not pass air, which is why the foam rubber inside the sofa turned into sand over time).
The booklaid phlock “Fortissimo” even to the touch differs from the first color flock – softer, more natural. Manufacturers conditionally called it the “golden rune” for the tactile similarity of the pile with lamb curls. The Canadian “Golden Fleece” differs from the previous 100 % synthetic flock – contains up to 30 % cotton.
Finally, if you believe the accompanying booklet, a booklaid phlock “Fortissimo” withstands any onslaught: water, dirt, natural dyes (which include berries, ketchup, and coffee). Flok “Jaguar” Factories “Microfibres” are very reminiscent of clothing fabric, from which the popular jackets “from microfiber” were sewn.
